Dr. Atabakhsh was introduced to dentistry at a young age by her older siblings. She earned her undergraduate degree, graduating magna cum laude from California State University, Northridge. Her strong work ethic, dedication, and academic achievements—all while raising two young children—helped her gain acceptance to dental school.

Dr. Atabakhsh attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her interest in pediatric dentistry grew during dental school through hands-on work with children in her pediatric rotations. She went on to complete her specialty training in the Pediatric Dentistry program at Nova Southeastern University.

During her residency, Dr. Atabakhsh trained at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience providing dental care for patients with special needs and advanced behavior management techniques. She also worked at the Baudhuin Preschool in Fort Lauderdale, which specializes in comprehensive dental care for children on the autism spectrum.

Dr. Atabakhsh is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Dental Society and the Thurston Mason County Society.

After graduating from residency, Dr. Atabakhsh moved her family to Washington State to put down roots in the Evergreen State. When she's not working, Dr. Atabakhsh enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, and relaxing with a hot cup of coffee or black tea while listening to the rain.
